The Dhol Fusion from Shree Swaminarayan Temple Bolton has been invited to open The Mayor's Mile Walk. Last year the Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band also played at the event.

The Mayor's Mile Walk is an annual fund raising event where individuals and groups raise funds through sponsorship for a charity of their choice. To enter the event a small fee of £5 per person is collected by the Mayor's office. This money then goes to the Mayor's own chosen charities. The money collected through the sponsorships is given directly to the charity chosen by that person or group. Last year the walk was two and a half times around the Reebok Stadium. This year the walk is 5 times around Bolton Town Hall. The Dhol Fusion from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir has been invited to open the event.Our mandir has a good relationship with the Mayor's Office, last year the Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band played at the event..
