Inspirator: His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj

Introduction
Introduction

In the year 2000, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree held a magnificent festival at the Temple and inaugurated the Arts & Culture Centre. The Temple ceiling has been transformed into a 3000 square foot canvas, with paintings of the divine episodes of Lord Swaminarayan and Jeevanpran Swamibapa. Visitors to the Mandir have commented that Bolton now has an art gallery of world renown. Some have compared the splendid scenes to the Sistine Chapel in Rome. The centrepiece of the prayer hall is a breathtaking sinhasan, intricately carved from wood and meticulously leafed in gold. The jewels in this crown are the murtis of Lord Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Adya Acharya Pravar Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.
